The Hongkong Prize 2022

The hongkong prize is one of Asia’s premier writing contests, and attracts thousands of participants each year. The competition’s impartial judging process and cash prizes make it an excellent option for writers seeking recognition. However, participants should read the rules and regulations carefully to avoid costly mistakes that could jeopardize their chances of winning.

The 2022 Hong Kong Prize theme Our Changing World invites arts practitioners to reflect on global change through various art forms. The winning artists receive financial support and encouragement for their creative work, arts projects or further studies, as well as increased international visibility through top-tier media coverage.

This year’s award ceremony was held on Friday at the Conrad Hotel in downtown Hong Kong, with a host of luminaries — including a brain cancer survivor who runs an agency to help students with mental health issues, a Zambian volunteer who works with charities and volunteers to support disadvantaged groups, and a teen who designed an app to monitor elderly dementia patients — joining the winners of the spirit awards. The event is the brainchild of the South China Morning Post and developer Sino Group.

BOCHK Science and Technology Innovation Prize is a research prize which encourages scientific researchers and innovators in Hong Kong to develop their work into practical applications with societal benefits. The prize also promotes Hong Kong as a world-class hub of science and technology. It is an independent merit-based award, and selection is conducted by an expert panel free from sponsorship and personal interests.

Applicants are required to submit a published full article in any scientific journal. This can include clinical studies, observational or epidemiological articles, meta-analyses or review articles. The review process is carried out by an expert panel of scientists from across the world.

In addition to monetary prizes, the winner will also be given a certificate and a trophy. A special HK Prize logo, featuring two precious elements – a pearl and a pierced jade amulet – will be used as the branding for the award.

Winners can collect their prizes by showing their award notification letter and a valid Hong Kong Identity Document for verification. Prizes not collected within 90 days of the announcement will be forfeited. The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will contact the winners for further arrangements.
