Ungrateful Patriots Player Won’t Visit White House, Wants Obama Instead

New England Patriots safety Duron Harmon declared to TMZ that he won’t visit Trump at the White House with the rest of the team but it would be “dope” to meet Obama:

New England Patriots safety Duron Harmon — one of the key players in the Super Bowl — says he will NOT be joining the team to visit Donald Trump … explaining, “They don’t want me in the White House.’

Duron had big celebration plans — he was looking forward to hanging out with Snoop, Cardi B and Meek Mill — but he ain’t making the trip to Washington D.C.

Harmon said “it would be dope” to follow the lead of the Golden State Warriors and visit Barack Obama instead.

He’s not the only one with strong feelings about the President — Tom Brady didn’t make the last Patriots trip to the White House after his wife, Gisele, publicly criticized Trump.

People complain about the politicization of sports but it is the players themselves who are injecting politics into the games.

This is a disgrace and would never be permitted if a Democrat were in office.

Imagine the outcry if the shoe were on the other foot.

Despite Harmon’s refusal, President Trump can likely expect visits from some of the Patriots A-listers.

The president remains close friends with Patriots Owner Robert Kraft, head coach Bill Belichick, and quarterback Tom Brady.

Last year, Trump disinvited the Philadelphia Eagles after their Super Bowl win. Once it became apparent that Philadelphia was going to send less than a handful of players, and their mascot.

However, given his close personal relationship with the New England brass, the chances of Trump disinviting the Patriots are very small.

Sports figures, who once tried to be role models for young children, are now anything but.

The NFL and other leagues have now in large part become largely left leaning and let their politics show.

Perhaps it’s time to end all tax incentives for processional sports.

After all why should taxpayers subsidize leagues that disrespect half of the population.
